I’ve noticed that when I call in for a delivery, the last thing I usually hear is when it’s time to collect the package. I get the delivery, get to the office, and then it’s time to go home.
Ive been getting a lot of calls from delivery companies lately, and every time the package is ready to be picked up, the last thing I hear is the delivery exception saying that it is no longer available. My guess is that delivery company is doing more and more deliveries than they used to, and its up to you to get the package.
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t have a problem with delivery companies. I understand they have a job to do, but it seems to me they’re the one’s who should be paying the bills and doing more of the work. In my opinion, delivery companies should be doing more of the work, not less.
It’s not like there are zero delivery companies. There are companies offering door-to-door delivery, or online ordering, or Amazon delivery, or maybe even Uber. But the delivery companies that do the actual delivering are the ones who aren’t paying their bills.
So this is not a new business model. It’s the same problem we have with the whole “freelance” model. I’m not sure why the delivery companies are not paying their bills, but they are. The problem is the company that hired them does not make their bills.
So for example, I recently got a package from Amazon, and I sent it to my parents’ house. I did it at home, because I was afraid of getting ripped off, and I was able to get the money in my PayPal account. However, Amazon got the package and didn’t pay me, and so I ended up going to a delivery guy instead.
This is a common type of problem. If you work with a service that requires you to pay them, you’re basically doing them out of your pocket. They make money off you, but they want to keep it all on their end. But in case you’ve had your service cut off, you can’t contact them to cancel your order.
While the problem isn’t unique to Amazon or PayPal, this is another issue with how the “delivery exception” works. Amazon has a few policies regarding the exception (like no-wait for 3-4 weeks), and PayPal has one regarding the exception. Even if you can get your order to Amazon, the delivery person is still required to pay you. That’s how it works.
Amazon and PayPal are two of the biggest delivery companies, both have their own policies for exceptions. Amazon has a policy regarding orders that can only be delivered within the U.S. but then if you can deliver it anywhere else, you also have a 2-day delivery. They also have a policy where the exception is not valid for orders with minimum quantities. The problem is that you cant have a minimum quantity order.
Its a bit weird because most of the time when I order stuff such as a game, you can use the delivery exception to ship it to me for free. I can ask you to deliver it to my house, but only if its not too large or not a very heavy item.
