In this chapter, I’ll give you a better understanding of the three levels of self-awareness. It’s important to understand that this type of awareness is so important because it will help you to navigate the business of selling and buying real estate.
I’m going to give you a quick explanation of how real estate is a business. The first level of self-awareness is just like any other business, when you have a product that is selling well. You aren’t aware of the fact that you’re doing anything illegal, but you definitely are aware of the fact that you’re doing something wrong. You have a product that is selling well and you just want to make sure you get the right price.
Our goal in the real estate business is to make money. Thats what you do in business. You get up every morning, you drive to the store and you buy the products, you sell the products and you make money.
In business, you are doing something illegal, in this case, youre not buying real estate, you are buying the product that is selling well and then selling it. But then again, you can still be doing something illegal: if you are doing it for the wrong reason, you may not be.
What is the right reason? Thats what we are trying to figure out.In business, you can do anything you want, you can go into anything you want. And that makes it a little bit easier to get money. So we get up every day, we drive to the store, we buy the products, we sell the products, and we make money.
A few of my colleagues (from my old team at Google) like to use the phrase “selling what is selling well” to describe the process of selling a product or service. We do not buy a product or service for the purpose of making money immediately. Instead, we take the product or service that we use everyday and sell it. This is how a lot of companies do it at Google.
Selling what is selling well is one of the fundamental aspects of being a Google employee. It’s how we make the money that keeps Google in business. Our company has a reputation in our industry for building products and services that make money for us without us having to sell them. So, while we do have a business sense, our philosophy is to make Google the best company it can be.
For a long time we have been selling our services in the marketplace. We have been doing this for nearly ten years. We believe that our company serves the needs and wants of our customers and it’s our responsibility to do everything we can to make Google the best company it can be.
For the past five years, we have been building a brand that has helped people like you do. We have been doing this for over ten years. We believe that our company serves the needs and wants of our customers and its our responsibility to do everything we can to make Google the best company it can be.
I won’t try and re-tell this story here as it would fall in the “this doesn’t really apply to me” category of the podcast, but I will say that we are in the process of building some really awesome products and services for our customers, and we hope you’ll take the time to read our blog.
