Using Gmail as a CRM

Task Notifications

When you have a new task assigned to you, you receive a notification, right in your Inbox. When you have the GrexIt browser extension installed, you receive a notification for every task assigned to you. You can jump straight to the email containing the task from the notification.

Label Filters

I've been using this extension for Gmail: @Mailroof (http://www.mailroof.com). It helps with the automation by collecting data from old customers from my inbox that I have forgotten. It also has custom templates so it gets easy when approaching these customers on a single click. And it has a nice feature to track mail openings, so I can always tell if the customer is still active. This is an extension for Chrome/firefox, but as a CRM it really takes Gmail to the next level.
